Carmela Martí and Resuinsa present textile trends for hospitality
Textile trends in hospitality were the main topic of the meeting organized by Hostelería y Restauración magazine for the housekeepers of Seville and Córdoba, some of whom are members of ASEGO. Carmela Martí and Resuinsa led the event as experts in the field.
Last Wednesday, June 15, a meeting with housekeepers from various hotels was held at the Hotel Doña María in Seville, organized by Hostelería y Restauración magazine. Carmela Martí Decoración, together with Resuinsa, led these training and professionalization sessions in their commitment to support industry professionals. Carmela Martí, project director, and Javier Blasco, commercial director of Resuinsa, combined their knowledge on the latest textile trends. Housekeepers are an essential group in the life of a hotel, especially regarding the rooms, and this colloquium also served as a forum for them to share their doubts and suggestions about room management.

We began with a presentation of the two companies, which are benchmarks in trends and quality of hotel textile products. These trends were addressed through the digital presentation on tourism, the hotel experience, and sustainability. We live in the age of imagery, and tourists first conduct an online search where images make the first impression. Therefore, it is essential for the room to look perfect, and textiles are a simple solution that makes a significant impact. Moreover, the experience of sleeping in a hotel bed is spectacular, and much of the credit goes to the bed linens. If the sheets and pillows are of high quality, the guest will feel like they are sleeping on a cloud. Lastly, one of the most popular topics is sustainability. In this regard, both Resuinsa with the Vita collection of completely recycled material slippers and Carmela Martí with the Posidonia collection demonstrate that it is possible to be at the forefront of design while offering environmentally sustainable options. The meeting was entirely fruitful and highlighted the benefits of investing time in the training and professionalization of hospitality workers. It is essential to have frequent contact to identify the strengths and needs of the sector. All of this reinforces the likelihood that the guest will have an unforgettable experience.
