Carmela Martí Decoración, an example of a company with 100% female representation.
Its founder and CEO, Mamen Pérez, highlights the collaboration, teamwork, and quality that they bring to every project.
When Mamen Pérez decided to start her business two decades ago, she was very clear about how to do it: with her passion for interior design and textile design. Today, the CEO of Carmela Martí Decoración leads a women-owned company, a company with a team made up entirely of women. Her extensive experience and tenacity have elevated this company to work with the most relevant interior designers and architects on the current scene.
Mamen Pérez knew from the beginning how Carmela Martí should be positioned because, as she explains, there was no similar business model: “Advising all kinds of establishments and designing personalized environments full of experiences is our core. We make each project unique, adapting to its identity,” she explains.
Moreover, the founder of Carmela Martí is proud to work closely with an all-women team: “Collaboration is above all else, and this teamwork leaves a mark on the quality of each project. The good atmosphere helps us pay attention to every detail, enjoy our profession, and move the company forward with a promising future.”
In her daily routine, Mamen Pérez brings her expertise to everything she does, being an inspiration and, in turn, finding inspiration in each new trend, idea, and product. She oversees the projects that are launched, but she also participates in their development, working together with the entire team. Establishments like the Palacio de Correos, Le Petit Palü, Palacio de la Marquesa, Ad Hoc Vitae, or Grand Luxor Villas, among many others, bear the quality and design seal of Carmela Martí.
The CEO of Carmela Martí is a true example of an entrepreneurial woman, running a company for 20 years, at a time when it was still unusual to see women in this field. In fact, she comments that she has witnessed how women are increasingly present in decision-making positions: “Female representation in management positions is happening gradually, but I am convinced that this equalization will come faster than we think. We are more than qualified for it, and society, and the business world in particular, is very clear about it,” she emphasizes.
